Norrbottens museum

Norrbotten's museum is the county museum in Sweden's largest county by surface area. Norrbotten has a varied landscape that stretches from coast to mountains with a cultural history of over 10,000 years.

Gammelstdas kyrkstad

The World Heritage Gammelstad church town is a fantastic place to visit with a medieval church and hundreds of little red cottages. It was also at this location that the city of Luleå was founded in the 17th century.

Norrbottensteater 

Norrbottensteater is nicely located in Norra hamn. See any of the many shows that are produced each year 

The ice road

During the winter, there is an ice road around central Luleå where you can skate, kick or just walk. Very popular with locals and tourists. Take an extra detour to Gråsjälören and eat a waffle.

The archipelago

You can easily get here by tour boat or your own vehicle. Among 1,312 wonderful islands, coves and skerries, you are sure to find your own special favourite. Pastabacken is one of Luleå's family businesses, and it is run with love for food and drinks. On the menu you will find food with Italian and Argentinian tradition. 
The restaurant is one of  Luleå's oldest restaurants and it has been in the same location since the 1980's. 

Aiko Social Dining

With influences and inspiration from the South American and Asian cuisine, the restaurant wants to invite it's guests and friends on a journey that shows their interpretation of the meeting of the two continents. 
The basic idea with Aiko is that the food should be enjoyed and shared together, and the restaurant itself recommends that 3 dishes per person is a full meal. 

Karl August

Karl August is one of Luleå's newest but quite classic taverns. In one of the city's most historic buildings, Swedish flavours are served with an international touch, and of course a lot of good drinks to go with it. The restaurant is located in the Elite Stadshotellet. 
Karl August's drink list is written by Emil Åreng, one of Sweden's most wellknown and successful bartenders. Visit the restaurant's round bar, the cocktail roundabout, and have a refreshing pilsner, an exciting cocktail, a glass of the house champagne or a glass of wine.

Klubbviken havsbad

Klubbviken havsbad is one of the nicer sea baths that Nordkalotten has to offer with its excellent bathing facilities, nice and good service in the form of a sauna, cabins for rent, restaurant, toilets, a guest harbor with approximately 45 places and a lot of activities for both young and old . During the summer season, several tour boats go to and from Klubbviken every day. Klubbviken is located out on Sandön, and just as the name suggests, the bay is made up entirely of sand, gravel and other sediment from the Luleälven. The island is relatively flat with very fine pine hills and long, shallow sandy beaches. A recommendation is to take a walk to the shallow area on the south side.
