The core is one of Helsingborg's most well-known symbols, a watchtower that is almost 700 years old. The only thing left of the old Helsingborg Castle complex is the tower. The tower is 35 meters high and has 4 floors & a roof terrace. Inside Kärnan there is an exhibition that tells more about Kärnan and medieval history. The core is open from March - November.

Right next to the water in Helsingborg's North Harbour, Dunkers Kulturhus is located. The Kulturhuset houses theatre, music, dance, art and urban & cultural history exhibitions. In addition, you can visit their bistro or restaurant and have something good to eat.
Kim Utzon, the building's architect, is the son of the man who drew the Sydney Opera House.
