During the winter, there is an ice road around central Luleå where you can enjoy various activities such as ice skating, kick sled (In Swedish 'spark'), or simply take a leisurely stroll. Rödkallen

At the outermost edge of the sea in the Luleå archipelago lies Rödkallen as an outpost towards Finland. Already during the Middle Ages, there was fishing in the waters around the island.

Island Hopping

Explore some of Luleå archipelago's 1321 islands. You can easily reach some of them by car or ferry if you do not have access to your own boat. Many of the islands have cottages available for rent.
